Russia’s State Duma has approved today the Federal Budget Law for 2009 and for the project period of 2010-2011.
According to the Cabine-drafted law, federal income in 2009 will be at 10927.1 bn. rubles ($ 411.67 bn), with a 1.9 bn. ruble surplus. “This amount will give us a security airbag in the face of world economic instability”, said Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov.
Russia’s GDP in 2009 is estimated as high as 51.475 bn. rubles ($ 1.94 bn.), which is 6 % bigger than in 2006. Estimated inflation rate is 8.5 %, overall yearly ruble dollar rate is 24.7.
