Two staff members of Expert - photographer Vyacheslav Kochetkov and Russian Reporter magazine writer Igor` Naydenov left for Georgia on Friday, 8 August. As there is no air communication between Russia and Georgia, they had to fly to Yerevan, Armenia, planning a bus ride to Tbilisi.

We know that our colleagues crossed the border with Georgia on 9 August, but after that, all our attempts to communicate with them or get any information regarding their location failed.

Expert is asking officials in Russia and Georgia, as well as our fellow journalists, to help us find our colleagues.
